Volunteer Opportunities

We need your ideas and assistance in order for the AB SEPAC to be as vital and effective as possible. There are many tasks both large and small with which we need help on an ongoing basis. We appreciate any time you are able to give.

Planning Social Events/Fundraisers (Help coordinate and plan social events/fundraisers)

Meeting Publicity (Draft SEPAC meeting announcements and/or email them to local publications – all contact information will be provided)

School PTO/Parent Liaison (Attend PTO meetings to share SEPAC information with the PTO and PTO information with the SEPAC)

SEPAC Representative to School Committee (Attend School Committee and/or Policy and Budget Subcommittee meetings and report back to SEPAC regarding special education related info/activities)

Special Education Parent/Guardian Survey (Attend planning meeting(s) and/or coordinate survey content by email with interested parties)

General Help (Copying, running errands, etc. – as needed)

Website Design/Update (Help with content update or additions to website)

Newsletter Content (Help generate content for our newsletter, brief articles or event summaries welcome)

Maintain Event Calendar (Create and maintain a calendar to share local activities and event information)

Manage/Moderate Email Lists (Requires adding new people to the email list, approving/rejecting emails, and moderating discussion)

Research/Write Grant Applications (Look into funding opportunities for the SEPAC)

Be a Task Force Member (Lead or participate in a specific task force or round table as the SEPAC identifies the need)

Peer Support (Help facilitate monthly peer support hour – training available)
